Assisti hoje ao DVD Botinada, que fala sobre os lugares, as pessoas, as roupas e os costumes dos punks no Brasil logo no início. Comentário de pessoas que fizeram o punk acontecer no Brasil, e alguns que ainda fazem. Ao assistir, você irá ver o que era realmente underground, o verdadeiro underground. Tudo bem que o punk foi deturpado quando chegou ao Brasil, mas existiram punks que seguiram o movimento e ainda seguem. Mostra também o festival O Começo do Fim do Mundo(vou fazer um post dedicado a ele), totalmente independente, foi a unificação dos punks de São Paulo e os do ABC paulista.
Tretas com a polícia e com o governo talvez façam da imagem dos punks brasileiros como sendo mais agressivos que os britânicos (não os Sex Pistols, e sim os punk de verdade), e no início alguns até eram, mas depois viram que não era esse o caminho.
Rola até uma conspiração do governo contra os punks: durante um show na PUC os militares puseram fogo em alguns arquivos que os comprometiam e acusaram os punks. Em outras palavras tentaram matar dois coelhos com uma cajadada só. As grandes mídias apoiaram o governo, inclusive a gigante Rede Globo.
O filme foi idealizado por Gastão Moreira, ex-VJ da MTV e lançado pela ST2 Video. Talvez seja a maior pesquisa feita sobre o punk do Brasil, vale a pena assistir!

Botinada: The Origin of the Punk in Brazil

Today I watched the DVD Botinada that is about the places, persons, costumes and the behavior of the punks in Brazil on the beginning. People who did and still doing the punk rock in Brazil. On the movie you will see what was underground, the real underground. Ok, the punk was distorted in Brazil, but we had punks that followed the real movement and follow until today. The movie shows too the festival O Começo do Fim do Mundo [in English: The Beginning of The End of the World] (I will do a post about that) totally independent, that was the unification of the São Paulo’s punks and the ABC paulista’s punks.
Fights with the cops and with the government distort the image of the Brazilian punks like if they were more aggressive than the British punks (not the Sex Pistols, but the real punks), and in the beginning they were but they saw that wasn’t the right way.
The government made a conspiration against the punks: during a show at PUC, the Army put fire in some documents that were compromising to then and charged the punks. The Brazilian media support the government, including the giant Rede Globo.
The movie was an idea of Gastão Moreira, ex- VJ of MTV and published by ST2 Video. Maybe this is the most complete register of Brazilian punk, don’t lose it!
